The Beech Marten also known as the Stone Marten, is a small carnivorous mammal belonging to the mustelid family. Native to Europe, Central Asia, and parts of the Middle East, this agile and nocturnal species is easily recognizable by its slender body, bushy tail, and distinct white throat patch, which often extends down to the chest. Beech Martens inhabit diverse environments, including woodlands, rocky areas, and even urban settings. They are omnivorous, feeding on small mammals, birds, fruits, and insects. Despite their elusive nature, they are known for their adaptability and sometimes come into conflict with humans due to their tendency to nest in buildings and prey on domesticated animals.
